TPU: The Chinese name of TPU material is thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer. It is a high molecular material formed by the reaction and polymerization of diisocyanate molecules such as diphenylmethane, isocyanate (MDI) or toluene diisocyanate (TDI) with macromolecular polyols and low molecular Polyols (chain extenders).
PVC: PVC is polyvinyl chloride which is one of the most produced plastic raw material in the world which cheap price and wide application. PVC resin is a kind of white or light yellow powder. It has to be modified before use.
Difference Between TPU and PVC
1.Different transparent: TPU appears to be yellow and PVC appears to be blue and light yellow after long last storage.
2.Different hardness: Hardness of TPU is wider which is from Shore A 60 to Shore D 85; hardness of PVC is from Shore A30 to 120.
3.Different characteristic: TPU is more abrasion, high temperature, oil, chemical, flexible resistance than PVC material.
4.Different smell: TPU has no smell basically but PVC has a strong smell.
